Switch Store from Native to Third Party Store

If you have run into a limitation with the native store, you may be able to switch within the editor.

If you have run into a limitation with the native store that the third party store can assist with, you may be able to switch within the editor. However, if you don't see the options below, please see the section in this article, If You Do Not See Any of the “Switch to Third Party” Buttons.

Access the Switch to Third Party Store Button

Option 01: “Add Site Languages” Button in Pages Panel

  1. In the side panel, click Pages.

  2. Click the Add Site Languages button, then click the Switch to Third Party Store button.

Option 02: Bottom of Payment Gateway Screen

  1. In the side panel, click Sell Online, then click Store Management. Click Payment Gateways.

  2. Navigate to the bottom of the Payment Gateway screen. Click the Switch to Third Party Store button.

Option 03: Bottom of Abandoned Carts Screen

  1. In the side panel, click Sell Online, and then click Store Management. Click Payment Gateways.

  2. In the side panel of the Site Overview, click Store Operations, and then click Abandoned Carts.

  3. Navigate to the bottom of the Abandoned Carts screen. Click the Switch to Third Party Store button.

After Clicking the Switch Button

Click the checkbox in the confirmation modal to confirm your understanding that upon deleting your native store no data will be saved.

Complete the feedback survey regarding the reasons for deleting the store. Click Give Feedback.

A Third Party Store will be added to your site.

If You Do Not See Any of the “Switch to Third Party” Buttons

If you are on a demo store plan, you can delete the store. If you are on a paid eCommerce plan, you need to contact support to delete your store

Delete a Native Demo Store

To delete a demo store:

  1. In the side panel, click Sell Online.

  2. In the top right corner of the store panel, click the three horizontal dots icon and click Remove Store.

  3. Click Delete Store in the confirmation modal to confirm your understanding that upon deleting your native store no data will be saved.

After the demo store is deleted, the following list of store pages and widgets will remain on the site. Make sure to review your site and remove unnecessary elements.

  • Cart widget

  • Search widget (native store only)

  • Log in widget (native store only)

  • Sort & Filter widget (native store only)

  • Product gallery widgets

  • Store homepage

Add a Third Party Store

To add a third party store to your site:

  1. In the side panel, click Sell Online. Click Get Started.

  2. Click Add Third Party Store in the popup.
